The latest advancement towards Web 2.0 has opened another way of seeing the same old web application. It’s like looking towards a DOS based application with a Windows outlook. With the advanced features of Flex I have designed and developed a generic framework for developing web based desktop application in Flex. This can be used by any project and team to have all applications integrated in a single place. This will not only save development time but will help users to complete their task in a better & faster way.

The overview page looks like the screenprint below. Click on individual items to find more information about them. Then click on the demo to see the demo.(The demo does not require any user id & password, just click on Submit).

I have explained most of the component in the website, will be adding more features.

Functionality Summary:

1. Window based applications.
2. Dynamic Start Menu
3. Full Task Bar
4. Desktop Icons
5. Sidebar (Still working on this).
6. User Profile
7. 4 Active Desktops (Click on the button beside the user profile icon in the taskbar)
8. Ability to move application across desktops. ( Open Task Manager and drag & drop the Application to the any one of the 3 boxes. )
9. Monitor the performance (Open Task Manager and click on Performance Tab)
10.Kill and Open any application from any desktop (Open Task Manager and click on desktop1, click on new application then type “MyAlbum” and click ok. The application name is same as the ClassName)
11.Windows can be Zoomed in or out. (Click on the + & – button on the top of the window)
